“I’m so incredibly proud of this piece because it was one of the first times my confidence didn’t waver in regards to my music. For my whole life I thought musicians were some otherworldly, higher being, removed from the average person through their superstar status, convinced that this ability to create was some sort of magic talent that I simply didn’t possess. One of the biggest realizations that pushed me to begin creating on my own was that artists are simply human, and that everyone starts from somewhere. The very purpose of music is emotional fulfillment, capturing an aspect of the human experience, and painting it through song. If emotions aren’t one-size-fits-all, then why should musicians be? Because I finally learned to ‘Let Go,’ my drive and passion has deepened, freeing myself from any baseless feelings of imposter syndrome or self doubt.
